Reading/Watching: July 2026

Ahhh, another month come and gone, time really feels like it’s flying by lately.

Things are pretty good for me, in all honesty. My job just moved to some new offices, which are very nice. I have my own little cubicle now, which feels like a joke but it is a step up from the open plan layout we were in before. I’m even next to the front windows, so I can see everyone coming and going from the building.

Avatar: Fire and Ash: Enter the Bad Indian

Jimmy Cameron back at it again!

Well, I suppose he never stopped, really. This movie has been in the works for the last two decades, give or take, using a lot of material shot ages and ages ago. And boy, it really shows, sometimes. I had a lot of fun writing about the last Avatar movie, and I’ve got a lot of thoughts about this one, so let’s get into it!

Chapter 130: The Hat

Another week gone by of 2025, and the world continues to fall into madness.

But at least my little slice of it is relatively calm and peaceful. It’s pouring down rain here today, and will be for the next week or so, and I love it. My favorite weather, as a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. Even living in the middle of a city, there’s a certain peaceful coziness that comes from settling down inside on such a day that is utterly unmatched, at least in my personal experience.

Games of the Year 2024

Well, it’s that time again!

Getting to it a little late this year, I’ve been busy lately. Have been back at work, and trying to figure out some logistics around improvements to my apartment. Still muddling through that, but I wanted to take some time and reflect on the year of games, as is my custom. Even though, like, I do not actually write about games at any other time of the year on this blog. And, indeed, have not updated at all for the past month or so!
