I think I’m gonna make sunday my usual upload day, get on more of a regular schedule. I was so eager for the first one, I didn’t even think about it. I’m on vacation this coming week, so I’ll probably go and record several episodes, so I can have a buffer and actually get them out consistently on time! What a concept!

Guh, my friends, the heat has come to torment me once more.

I do so despise the summer. I picked this week for my vacation thinking it would still be nice and mild, like it was last year, but I was wrong! It’s always nice to have a break from work, but in the future I may elect to take more time in the fall or spring, rather than the doldrums of summer.

Chapter 35: The Mast-Head

Sorry for the break in updates there, I had a very busy week and then a cold. Still just barely getting over the later, but I had an urge to do some bloggin’.

So, today’s chapter returns us squarely to non-narrative status, with what amounts to a bunch of whaling trivia, at first glance. It is, in fact, very revealing about the character of both young and old Ishmael. It’s one of the more evocative chapters, getting us back to some of that fun prose we had very early on. Another tiny little chapter! I think this might be even shorter than Postscript, but it’s too close to call.
