Let’s Play FFT 11 – The Riovanes Gauntlet

This week, things get serious.

Well, plot-wise they’ve been quite serious for a while, what with Ramza being branded a heretic and his sister being kidnapped and the massive civil war going on in the background. But now the gameplay is getting trickier as well! I’ve had it easy for a while, but now the designers are actually putting together some scenarios that aren’t remotely fair and just expecting you, the player, to cope.

Let’s Play FFT 08 – Playing Tourist

Ahh, I’ve been taking a little break from working on this project, almost fell behind schedule!

I’ve got plenty of recordings done, up through next year, but I’ve fallen behind on editing. It’s easy enough to slap the intro on the front, but I like to go through and make sure I don’t leave in like a coughing fit or to add little image and text popups, just for fun. I may do less of that as I work on catching up, haha.

Let’s Play FFT 07 – The Hound of Culann

Alright, I’ve got an extra long episode for ya this week.

I ran into a little trouble in one of the fights, but it was mostly that once you get into this set of missions, it’s hard to stop! There are a couple things here that show some weaknesses of the storyline, a bit too much happening off-screen at times, but overall it’s really strong. This is where things definitively Take A Turn, plotwise.

Let’s Play FFT 06 – Gowg or Gawg?

What’s in a name in a fantasy world?

This playthrough has been fun for learning how the heck you’re actually supposed to pronounce a lot of these names. Some of them I still get wrong a lot out of habit, like Rahmza instead of Ram-za (like the animal). It’s hard to feel too bad though, since it is all a mish-mash of various European languages filtered through two translations and mixed together freely.
