Some vague ramblings, senseless and aimless as a colorless moth
I’m just gonna post those on youtube going forward, nobody is reading the posts on here, and I hate writing them. I was originally planning on doing something more ambitious where I would like add more background material or whatever, but that didn’t turn out to be necessary.
Once it’s done I’ll put the whole thing in a post here and write some reflections on the whole process of making it and whatnot. But for now, if you wanna see it, just go subscribe to my channel.
Ahhhh, I’m on my end-of-year vacation!
This one is a real relief, I’m right in the middle of trying to finish a gigantic years-long project, and specifically get ready to demo it for the clients. But that’s a problem for January Robin, I get to totally disconnect from all that and relax for a couple weeks.

This is why I made such a big backlog, I knew this was gonna happen. I always get pulled away from games before the end, especially when I like them a lot. I don’t want it to end! I don’t want to have to deal with the annoying stuff that always happens in the endgame, too. The big test at the end of the semester, so to speak. Though FFT isn’t actually bad in that regard, at least.

Well, plot-wise they’ve been quite serious for a while, what with Ramza being branded a heretic and his sister being kidnapped and the massive civil war going on in the background. But now the gameplay is getting trickier as well! I’ve had it easy for a while, but now the designers are actually putting together some scenarios that aren’t remotely fair and just expecting you, the player, to cope.

I’ve got plenty of recordings done, up through next year, but I’ve fallen behind on editing. It’s easy enough to slap the intro on the front, but I like to go through and make sure I don’t leave in like a coughing fit or to add little image and text popups, just for fun. I may do less of that as I work on catching up, haha.

This playthrough has been fun for learning how the heck you’re actually supposed to pronounce a lot of these names. Some of them I still get wrong a lot out of habit, like Rahmza instead of Ram-za (like the animal). It’s hard to feel too bad though, since it is all a mish-mash of various European languages filtered through two translations and mixed together freely.
