Ahh, I’ve been taking a little break from working on this project, almost fell behind schedule!

I’ve got plenty of recordings done, up through next year, but I’ve fallen behind on editing. It’s easy enough to slap the intro on the front, but I like to go through and make sure I don’t leave in like a coughing fit or to add little image and text popups, just for fun. I may do less of that as I work on catching up, haha.
This time we reach the royal capital of Lesalia, and then Ramza’s actions in Lionel catch up with him. Turns out you can’t get away scot-free with killing the feudal ruler of an entire region of Ivalice, who is also a prominent member of the church. Even if they turned into a demon first.
There’s a very fun dynamic of like… Ramza being the one person who knows the horrible truth, that demons are real and are engineering this civil war for some unknown end. He cannot get it into his head that other people straight-up won’t believe him, because he saw it with his own eyes. If you’re accused of murder, the best defense is not “he turned into an otherworldly monster!”
And the player is in the same boat! You really get to feel the unfairness, because you also saw it with your eyes. But because Cu Chulainn didn’t leave a corpse behind, there’s no way to prove that it’s true.
It is funny to put a plot like this in a fantasy setting though. Like sure there are animated skeletons walking around and some people can summon ancient godlike spirits to blast half the battlefield with fire or lightning, but a crystal that turns you into a demon? Pffffft, don’t be ridiculous, that’s just a fairy tale.
